  Information Regarding Rules and Regulations

How to become an official:
1. Complete a non-athlete application (You get these applications from the registration chairman.)
2. Become familiar with the USA Boxing rulebook
3. Take the officials clinic
4. Check the ncusaboxing.org website often for the event schedule so you can attend local boxing tournaments and practice your skills as an official. (Notify the chief of officials that you will be attending.)

How to become a coach:
1. Complete a non-athlete application (You get these applications from the registration chairman.)
2. Become familiar with the USA Boxing rulebook
3. Take the coaches clinic (You cannot work the corner for your boxer until you complete this clinic.)
4. Check the ncusaboxing.org website often for the event schedule so you can attend local boxing tournaments and practice your skills as an official. (Notify the chief of officials that you will be attending.)

How to become a boxer (athlete):
1. Complete an athlete application (You get these applications from the registration chairman.)
2. Once you receive your boxing passbook, you can participate in USA Boxing events. Your coach must be registered as a non-athlete and have passed the coaches level I certification test before he or she can work your corner.
You must use approved USA Boxing equipment at events. You can see the equipment regulations, boxing rules, weight classes, etc., in the USA Boxing rulebook.
